Eligibility Criteria for Applying

Age Limit: Applicants who want to apply for the UGC NET Dec. 2024 exam must satisfy the following age limit criteria:

·      Age Bond for  JRF: No more than 30 years as of the first day of the month the exam is held, which is January 1, 2025.

·      Age Bond for Assistant Professor: The UGC-NET application process has no upper age limit.

Education: Candidates must hold a master's degree or an equivalent credential from an institution or university approved by the UGC.

 

How much is the application fee for applying for this UGC NET Dec. 2024 exam?

·    The application fee is Rs.1150 for candidates in the General or Unreserved categories.

·  The cost is lowered to Rs.600 for members of the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories, particularly the Non-Creamy Layer (NCL).

·      Removal of international centers: None of the international centers will host GATE 2024 this time. Indian nationals who reside outside of India must sit for the PG engineering entrance exam here in India only. According to the official announcement, "GATE 2024 will only be held in centers within India. Foreign nationals and Indian residents living abroad may participate in GATE 2024, but they must select cities within India for the examination. They are responsible for making their own travel and lodging arrangements in order to show up for the exam at the designated location within India.

·      Introduction to a new paper: Artificial Intelligence and Data Science have been introduced to the GATE 2024 entrance exam this year. Probability and statistics, linear algebra, calculus and optimization, programming, data structures and algorithms, database management and warehousing, machine learning, and artificial intelligence are all included in the course material for this paper.

·      Application fees for GATE:  IISc has raised the exam application cost this year. For all category candidates, the GATE 2024 application price has doubled. The application cost for female candidates has gone up by Rs. 100, while for SC/STPwD candidates, it has gone up by Rs.100.

The GATE 2024 Registration Process

Candidates must apply online via the GATE website to take the exam. Follow these procedures to sign up for GATE 2025:

2024 GATE Application Fees

2024 CAT Eligibility Criteria

Education: A Bachelor's degree with at least 50% of the possible points or an equivalent CGPA (45% for candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories) must be held by the candidate. The degree may be from any university or educational institution that has been declared to be deemed a university under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or it may be from an institution that has been incorporated by an Act of Parliament or State legislature in India.  

Applications are also accepted from candidates who have finished their degree requirements and are awaiting results, as well as those who are taking the last year of their bachelor's degree or comparable qualifying test. It should be noted that, should they be chosen for the program, these candidates will only be able to enrol temporarily if they can produce a certificate from the principal or registrar of their university or institution, issued on or before the date set by the relevant IIM, attesting to the fact that they have fulfilled all the requirements necessary to earn a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification on the date the certificate is issued. IIMs may check eligibility at several points during the hiring process.

How much is the application Fees for applying IIM CAT 2024?

·      For candidates who are SC, ST, or PWD, the application cost for the IIM CAT 2024 is Rs. 1250.

·      Candidates from other categories must pay an application fee of Rs. 2,500. During the online application and registration process, candidates have the option to pay the IIM CAT application fee online.

It should be noted that an applicant only needs to pay the registration cost once, regardless of how many institutes they are applying to. Candidates who identify as SC, ST, or PwD must provide a copy of their certificates while registering. Under no circumstances may fees be returned after they have been paid.

CAT REGISTRATION Process

Applicants have to apply online for the CAT 2024 Admission process. On August 1, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., is when the CAT 2024 registration window opens, and it closes on September 13, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. The registration guide will provide the information. During the registration process, candidates need to choose from a drop-down menu five test cities of their choosing. Candidates will be assigned, subject to availability, to one of the five selected cities after the registration deadline.
