Basic Information about this Indian Air Force Recruitment 2024
To fill positions for Gazetted Officers in
the Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Non-Technical and Technical), the Indian Air
Force will hold the AFCAT 2 Exam. The exam will take place in July 2025. To be
hired for various positions in flying and ground duty, candidates must pass the
written test, the AFSB interview, and the medical examination.

Eligibility Criteria for AFCAT 2 Exam 2024
Age Limit: The age criteria for the Flying Branch and Ground duty
staff are different. Check the information below related to the age criteria
for different branches:

For Flying Branch and NCC Special
Entry: 20–24 Years on July 1, 2025 (born, inclusive,
between July 2, 2001, and July 1, 2005).

For Ground Duty (Tech/Non-Tech): 20–24 Years on July 1, 2025 (birth, inclusive, between July 2, 1999,
and July 1, 2005)
Education Criteria: The education criteria for applying to the AFCAT Examination have been explained below in the table according to the
different designations. The educational criteria for different branches are as

How much is the Application free for applying this AFCAT Exam 2024?

the applicants have to pay a Rs.550 application fee amount
for applying.

the application fee for Special Entry for NCC: Rs. 0/-.
Mode of Payment: You have to pay the application fee
using Online Payment Methods. You can use your Credit/Debit cards,
internet banking, and UPI for the payment of the application fee.
The 2024
AFCAT 2 Selection Procedure
The written exam is waived for NCC Special Entry Candidates. They'll receive a direct call regarding the AFSB. The following steps are part of the AFCAT 2 2024 selection process:
Stage 1: Candidates will go through the Written Test/Assessment.
Stage 2: Those who passed in the
first stage of the AFCAT selection process will go through interview rounds
conducted by the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB).
All candidates who meet the requirements for Stage
1 must show up for AFSB Stage 2 and take the following tests:
1. Psychological Tests: Professional psychologists
administer these written psychological tests.
2. Group Tests: These assessments use both cognitive and motor
skills to assess candidates on a range of mental and physical characteristics.
3. AFSB Interview: During this phase, the
candidate is interviewed one-on-one by the interviewing officer.
4. Computerized Pilot Selection System (CPSS) Test: Only applicants to the Flying Branch are required to take this test.
Stage 3: Medical Evaluation: Those who are
recommended will be contacted for the physical exam. The Institute of Aviation
Medicine in Bengaluru and the Air Force Central Medical Establishment (AFCME)
are the only two medical examination centers recommended by the Indian Air
Force. Following the medical examination, a final merit list would be created
using the candidate's written and AFSB interview scores. The acceptance letter
from each of the training schools to which they have applied will be sent to
each shortlisted applicant.
Online
Application Form 2024 for AFCAT 2
On May 30, 2024, the
AFCAT 2 online registration procedure will open on the official website,
https://careerindianairforce.cdac.in OR https://afcat.cdac.in. To prevent
last-minute technological issues, candidates should apply online for the AFCAT
2 Exam well in advance of the deadline for registration. The link for the
online AFCAT application will be available until June 28, 2024.
