Eligibility
Criteria for Applying
Age Limit: Applicants who want to
apply for the UGC NET Dec. 2024 exam must satisfy the following age limit
criteria:

Age Bond for JRF: No more than 30 years
as of the first day of the month the exam is held, which is January 1, 2025.
·
Age Bond for Assistant Professor: The UGC-NET
application process has no upper age limit.
Education: Candidates must hold a
master's degree or an equivalent credential from an institution or university
approved by the UGC.
How much
is the application fee for applying for this UGC NET Dec. 2024 exam?
· The
application fee is Rs.1150 for candidates in the General or Unreserved
categories.
· The
cost is lowered to Rs.600 for members of the Economically Weaker Section (EWS)
and Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories, particularly the Non-Creamy Layer
(NCL).
· The
needed fee is further reduced to Rs. 325 for candidates who belong to the
Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD),
and Third Gender categories.
Mode of Payment: The several Payment
Gateway alternatives that are integrated into the online application process
make it easy to pay these costs. Paying via a credit card, debit card, net
banking, or UPI (Unified Payments Interface) is an option available to
applicants.
Crucial
Dates to Keep in Mind
· The
deadline for submitting an online application and paying the required cost is
November 19, 2024.
· The
deadline for online application submissions is December 10, 2024.
· Individuals
who may need to make any changes to the information on their application form
can only do so on the website during the specified time frame, December 12–13, 2024.
· The
actual exam is set to take place in 2025 between January 1st and January 19th. This is a crucial period for all applicants since it will establish their
