Eligibility
Criteria for Applying
Education for officers in
Grade 'B' (DR)-(General): A minimum grade point average of 60% (or 50% for SC/ST/PwBD
applicants) in any discipline throughout your undergraduate studies or an
equivalent technical or professional qualification
or
Post-Graduation or an equivalent technical
qualification with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 55% (or a qualifying
score for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) across all semesters and years.
Education for Grade 'B'
officers (DR)-DEPR: A
Master's Degree in Economics, Econometrics, Quantitative Economics,
Mathematical Economics, Integrated Economics Course, or Finance from a
reputable Indian or Foreign University or Institute with a minimum of 55% marks
or an equivalent grade in the sum of all semesters or years.
OR
b. PGDM/ MBA Finance from an accredited Indian
or foreign university or institution with a minimum of 55% overall or an
equivalent grade.
OR
c. A Master's degree in economics from an
accredited Indian or foreign university or institute, in any of the subfields
of economics, such as agricultural, business, developmental, applied, etc.,
with a minimum of 55% overall or an equivalent grade.
Education for officers in
Grade 'B' (DR)-DSIM:
A. An IIT-Kharagpur or IIT-Bombay Master's
degree in statistics, mathematical statistics, mathematical economics,
econometrics, or statistics and informatics with a minimum of 55% overall or an
equivalent grade across all semesters or years.
OR
B. A Master's degree in mathematics with a
minimum of 55% overall or an equivalent grade, plus a one-year postgraduate
diploma in statistics or a closely related field from a reputable institution.
OR
C. An Indian Statistical Institute M. Stat.
degree with a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 55%.
Age Bond: The RBI has established
minimum age requirements for appearing in the RBI Officer (Grade 'B')
examination. To apply for the RBI Grade B exam 2023, candidates must be between
the ages of 21 and 30 (both ages included). The upper age restriction for
candidates with M.Phil. and Ph.D. qualifications will be 32 and 34 years,
respectively.
