Eligibility
Criteria for Applying for These Railway Jobs in India
Age Bond: The following is the
age limit for candidates as of October 15, 2024:

Minimum Age: Candidates had to be at least 15 years old to
be eligible.
· Maximum Age: However, the maximum age limit for candidates
is 24 years old, which means that applicants must not have turned 24 by the
deadline.
It is noteworthy that age relaxation measures
are relevant and will be granted in compliance with the set guidelines that
oversee the selection procedure.
Education: In terms of
educational requirements, candidates must meet the minimal requirements of SSC,
Matriculation, or completion of the 10th Class in the 10+2 examination system.
Furthermore, applicants must have successfully finished an ITI program in a
trade that is relevant to the job for which they are applying. Candidates must meet both the age and educational requirements listed above to guarantee that they are qualified for the positions they are applying
for.
Details
of the Application Fee
· The
application cost is Rs. 100/-for those who fall into categories other than
SC, ST, PwD, and women candidates.
· The
candidates who fit into the categories of women, PwD (Persons with
Disabilities), ST (Scheduled Tribe), and SC (Scheduled Caste) there is no
application fee, therefore it is completely free.
Payment Mode: Online payment methods such as internet banking, credit cards, and debit cards must be used for all payments.
Method of
Selection
1. The Apprentice Act of 1961 stipulates that the eligible applicants for training will be chosen based on a merit list that is created by averaging the applicants' marks from both the Matriculation exam (with a minimum of 50% (aggregate) marks) and the ITI exam, with equal weighting given to each.
2. Candidates who make the shortlist and are subsequently enlisted will be contacted for verification of their credentials, up to 1.5 times the number of positions that were announced.
3. If two applicants have the same scores, the elder applicant will be given preference. The applicants who passed the matriculation exam earlier will be given priority if their dates of birth coincide. There won't be a written exam or interview.
4. The final merit list will be created unit-, trade-, and community-wise, with the number of slots corresponding to the percentage of the candidate's earned marks in descending order.
5. Instead of sending copies of their applications, certificates, or other documentation by mail to RRCNCR, applicants must upload them online.
6. NCR will release the
Trade-wise/Community-wise Merit List for the vacancies that have been
announced. NCR will contact applicants based on their merit in the respective
trade, considering the Divisions and Workshops they have selected. If a specific trade in a given Division or Workshop is lacking. The
right to redistribute the candidates to other divisions or workshops is
reserved by North Central Railway.
